This class taught me what color schemes are and how are they divided. I learnt that each colour has its own meaning which cannot be substituted.
Color schemes –
- Monochromatic – This color scheme consists of same hue (colour) but different shades, tints and times of it.
- Complementary – This scheme consists of the 2 opposite colours on the colour wheel
- Split complementary – consists of a base colour and those 2 colours which are symmetric from the colour opposite to base colour, on colour wheel.
- Analogous – 3 colours that are nest to each other on the colour wheel
- Traid – This consists of those 3 colours which are equally spaced from each other
-> Assignment – Pick few pictures of landscapes, objects, scenery and design palettes that contain the exact colour as in the picture.
I learnt how to identify and make an exact colour through this exercise.
