We started the discussion on the novel “INVISIBLE CITIES”. As always, it is mandatory to know the biography of the Author, before you read the book. Whole the class was divided into groups of 8, and each group was asked to write the character sketch of the the author – Italo Calvino. Our group was asked to write about his early life.
Early life of Italo Calvino :-
Italo Calvino was born in Cuba in 1923. His father, Mario, a botanist and his mother, Eva Mameli, also a botanist, raised him in a Farm in a Sam Remo. He finished his studies in University of Turin. He later enrolled in Faculty of Science in the same university. He also joined Italian Army and lived as a partisan during this time. His journey of writing began when he started writing journals. He wrote the book Invisible Cities in the year 1970.
