ANCIENT EGYPT

Egypt is said to be a living civilisation i.e., not everything that was there in this civilisation is lost till date.

  • Mummies
  • Pyramid
  • Slavery
  • Protector of Realm
  • River Nile

Egypt was broken down into 3 parts based on time and its evolution – Old Egypt, Middle Egypt and New Egypt.

Old Egypt :-

We were shown a few Sculptures that were made at that time.
Also Pottery which was mainly used for decoration and art & craft. These were much detailed and precise in Egyptian Civilisation.
Moreover, the jewellery/ornaments used back then were bracelets, bangles for kids/young people.

Middle Egypt :-

We were shown an idol of secret man - which nobody knows who he was. Assumptions were that he could be a caretaker, or a person meditating.
We were also shown paintings placed on tomb walls.
There was a Bracelet and a Vanity mirror made back then, that we can still buy. Through this I realised India needs. some good designers so that the objects get evolved.
From the paintings and objects shown, I realised that the colour wheel is also not changed yet.
There was a coffin which was well decorated and well defined.
We were also shown the architecture of Pyramid of Giza and Sphinx.

Reflection – There were aspects in Middle Egypt which I think are still used and created in the same way. I realised why Egypt is called a living civilisation.
