IMAGING 8 – 28/02/2020 – SHRUTHI MA’AM

This class was again a working class, to work on the suggestions given by the faculty.

My book is about my journey through different coloured cities, each city having a central elements of what represents the particular colour. Also, the coloured cities had only that colour everywhere and anywhere you go, even the skin colours of the people had the colour of their city. At the end of every city, is a cave, inside which I could see a crystal-like thing with shade of that particular coloured chapter and a shade of white mixed with it. It shined. Thus, it looked as a coloured prism looks when seen from a closer angle. It was at the end of my journey when I knew what these crystals were. A theory was described practically inside one of the caves that we scientifically call Conversion – rays of different lights passing through a prism and and a white light passing as a result. Basically, these rays were actually the coloured cities that I visited and the white city was actually a market of all these cities, where people spend most of their time with each other. This made me realise that there were colours only from inside and only white from out. (Colours meant religions to me from the beginning of my journey as. this is what I’ve been. taught since my childhood.) Moreover, my background in each chapter looks like a prism when looked closely. Depending on the chapter is the colour of my background.

And that is why I chose a triangular theme for my book, as my whole book is based on a hanging Prism.

This is my 10*10″ iteration where I depicted the coloured people, in each city.
