Ancient Greece
The order of pillars and the strong mythology represents Greece. Ancient greeks personified everything they saw – God of science, God of law, etc.
We were shown few pictures that related to the architecture, traditions and cultures, objects of the civilisation. Following is the description for them :-
Amphitheatre - Was for entertainment Presence of an amphitheatre depicted that. the civilisation has a culture.
Architecture - This has a sense of scale. Architecture of temples in this civilisation was very large.
Acropolis of Athena - This was a city plan that included the following - 1. Temple 2. Partheron 3. Amphitheatre.
Greek Structures/Sculptures –
2. Carvings of 2 horses with people on them. This could be some kind of sport like a marathon or a chariot racing.
3. People were fully dressed. It looked like a kind of gathering.
Metallic Sculptures :-
In the earlier civilisations, metallurgy was only used for small things like bracelets, but now it is also used in making sculptures. There were sculptures of male nudes made in this civilisation. Though, most of them were a replica. All of them had a fine body and fine muscles.
Pottery –
There were a various types of pottery observed. Following are those - Pottery from Geometric era Black and red pots - Black figures on red pot or red figure on black pot. Metal pots There was a war scene in one of the pots.
Fancy Objects –
Reflection :- I realised that the world already had a little bit of knowledge and improvement in every field in this civilisation. Everything was so detailed as compared to the earlier civilisations.
