Element that I chose from the mind map of my course – Product Design is Book shelf. Since we were asked to write down the 5 inquiry questionnaire based on the element chosen i.e., Book shelf, following are those :
Questionnaire :-
- Can I design a bookshelf that involves technology which makes it easier to search a particular book, or that arranges the books according to their alphabets?
- With the rise in technology, are people even buying physical books now a days?
- With the increasing demand for technology, which has replaced physical books with ebooks, is it possible to design a technical bookshelf?
- I could design an eBookshelf – may be an app, or a physical bookshelf that involves technology.
- Will the technical bookshelf need a material other than wood, glass or metal?
- What other factors are to be kept in mind while designing a book shelf?
- Are there any other requirements that the readers have for a book shelf?
Later on in this session, all of us were divided into groups so that we could grade each other based on the questionnaire.
We were also introduced to the final assignment, which is to write an essay of 1500 on the elements we chose.
-> Assignment – Find a reading and pick 3 sentences from it, that you find interesting and could use in your own essay.
