IMAGING 14 – 13/04/2020 – SHRUTI MA’AM

In the beginning of this session, we were introduced to following binding techniques for our physical prototype.

Case Binding
Perfect Binding
Saddle Stitch Binding
Spiral/thermal Binding
Japanese Binding

We were shown images and videos that would give us a clear idea about how to make these bindings at home.

Our final booklets were reviewed later in this session, and each one of us were given the final changes/suggestions.

Process of my book till now :-

Reference Page :-

As it is seen, I have used the same colour scheme as in the whole book, and the same paragraph style too.

Timeline Page :-

Each colour of the line at the centre represents different civilisation, and one of the main footwear used in that particular civilisation. I tried to use a different frame for images in this page.

Changes –

Stylise the images of the book to improve the image quality, and give them a sort of similarity.
Change the background of the Timeline page.

Later on in this session, we were told about the marking scheme of each assignment. We were also given a brief about how and in what form are we supposed to present our final book in the final week.

I worked on the changes as per the faculty – I enhanced the resolution to 300 on Photoshop. Simultaneously I also changed brightness/contrast and levels a bit to make them look darker, brighter and clearer.
